		<description>I think the SW movies have a weakness in that they&#039;re not based on a good novel or series of books.  Rather, the books came after the movie.  This leaves them open to a certain charge of shallowness.  I get that.  But I would make two points.  (1) There are books that influenced the thought behind the SW plot - see the works of Joseph Campbell in particular.  If you want something less &#039;dumb&#039; go there.  (2) Actually, if you look online for the SW movie scripts and give them a read, there&#039;s a depth and detail there that is easily lost in the overblown special effects and childish antics of the newest movies.
